Back to Travel Log
The visit to Norway took place in late summer of 1999.
We travelled to Norway in order to participate in the International
Amateur Radio Conference in Lillehammer, which followed the Tel Aviv
Conference (1996)  in which Norway was elected to be the host.
After taking part in the week long conference, Ruth & myself took time
out to tour beautiful Norway.
Traveling  by car, over scenic routes, walking a lot over difficult terrain, &
stopping at all major sightseeing places.
The highlight was the visit to Brigsdal Glacier,
a left over from the last "ice age".
The walk up there and back took a lot of hours.
Taking a boat cruise on the "Fjords" is an experience not to be missed.
The country side is most relaxing and the views are exquisite.
Here are a couple of pictures, to get you in the mood of going there.
